At least in popular vote, Tocci Building Companies certainly has won the 2015 Best Construction Blog competition. As voting ended yesterday, and despite a sincere push for votes by some of its competitors, the Massachusetts–based contractor had collected 326 votes, compared to second-place Rogers Townsend Construction Law Blog at 95 votes, followed very closely by Construction Data Company‘s 94 votes. You can see the complete voting list here.
Probably the most meaningful popular voting success occurred for Tess Wittler Writing Services, which edged out previous Best Construction Blog award winner, California-based Burgin Construction Inc., for a spot on the first voting results page.
The importance of being on the first page cannot be underestimated. The independent judging panel, who will review the blogs over the next month, can review any blog they wish, but many find it most convenient to assess only the top seven blogs in popular vote, as — while it isn’t the final determining factor in selecting the overall winner — the voting success certainly still carries much weight.
We’ll announce the final winners (and judges’ observations) on Friday, May 1.
