Today’s a road trip and “roadie” day. In a couple of hours, I’ll head to Toronto with a stop at our printers in Smiths Falls, to bring papers and exhibit materials for the annual Construct Canada trade show. This is a day where intellectual skill really doesn’t matter as much as managing driving fatigue, and where my daily gym workouts will help as I manage to load onto dollies and lug a few thousand copies of our Canadian publications from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre parking area to our exhibit booth.
The work will be worthwhile, however, tomorrow, when we can begin meeting, connecting, communicating with friends, clients and relevant associations.
This afternoon, as well, hopefully I’ll be able to attend part of the CERBA (Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association) Infrastructure and Construction Conference in Toronto today, capturing some international focus and insights, especially in northern construction challenges.
