You can take a peek into the future by exploring some of IBM Watsons applications. Watson, the artificial intelligence computer that beat the best Jeopardy players, has been opened to developers to create and explore various applications where artificial intelligence meets the human mind.

Much of this content is too early to apply for AEC marketing, but there are intriguing possibilities. Notably, you can generate a personality analysis (for free in this demo) with some textual content.

I plugged in one of my SMPS Marketer articles on Building Information Modelling, a rather technical topic.

The analysis:

You are shrewd, skeptical and tranquil.

You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.

You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of prestige.

You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person.

But the really surprising (and I think valid) observations came from the “data behind your personality”

You can take the test yourself. Then explore a bit through some of Watson’s?other resources. Although you may need to be more a computer scientist than marketer to implement the other tools right away, there are hints of the future here. We are entering a brave new world of mind/matter/computing intelligence.
