Take a few minutes now. Relax. Then think about what you really enjoy doing the most.
Then think a bit about how you can connect doing what you like, with your marketing.
I’m not saying that everything you do with marketing, business development and sales has to be fun — in fact it can’t. But the more you integrate your interests, passions and values with your marketing, and relate these aspects to current and potential clients, the more you’ll enjoy the process, and the more you’ll be willing to stay the course as you build your strategy.
(Beware, however, of salespeople playing to your interests and vanities and catching you on the other side of the equation.)
