On Sept. 7, I’ll be joining a 100 km cycling event, Ride The Rideau, to raise money for cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital. One of the project’s founders and my team’s leader Robert Merkley has generated fund-raising success-designed marketing material, which I suppose I should use if I’m following the Science of Persuasion message in the postings surrounding this note.
However, today, I’ll practice some of the other persuasive principles, including reciprocity and scarcity, with an offer that lasts just two days.
